Diwali is a beautiful festival. For us, decorating our home is a big part of all the festivities. As an Indian, Diwali is a time to relive those wonderful moments which define ethnic India.
I enjoy the preparation for the puja, the flowers, the lights, and of course giving the home a new look just for Diwali!
I am not a big believer of having a specific theme or a specific colour for my Diwali Decor. I think you should look around your home, find some pretty things that are meaningful for you, and simply go with that.
This Diwali, I am using my moms old sari as a tablecloth. Flowers, of course, are a necessary accessory. You don't need a lot, just a few will do! I am also including a few silver pieces that have been in my home for generations. For the place setting, I have my regular china on a hammered white metal square charger. To give it a festive and Indian look, Don't be afraid to blend different styles, you never know what you might come up with.
This Diwali, let the decor in your home be about who you are! The colours you love and the things you cherish will surely bring a smile to your face. Welcome your family and friends with warmth and love. Beautiful smiles, twinkling lights, fresh flowers and you have everything set for the perfect Diwali. Here's wishing you a Diwali filled with happiness from our home to yours.
